It's not often you find a dress that's washer/dryer friendly, and usually in order for that to even happen, the majority of the garment needs to be made of cotton, so when I discover one that saves me a trip to the cleaners, I don't think twice, I gladly take it. This cotton Uniqlo shift dress comes with all the ideal components of what I wished every piece in my closet had. It's so unbelievably soft and ridiculously comfy on, but what I appreciate most is the design details. Its stripe texture, subtle side slit and added pockets make for the perfect Spring dress to roam around freely in. Wear it the sporty chic way with sneakers, in the Summer paired with gladiator sandals, or how I did here with a wedge slide, you really can't go wrong.
The bandana scarf, I found at Muji was actually a mens handkerchief that I decided to tie around my neck. Muji is now also my go-to store for classic essentials. If your style is pretty simple, but you want to punch up your look just a little bit, subtle textures and prints will instantly get you there :)
Ok, let's just talk about this glorious sunset shall we? Melissa and I shot right outside the side doors of the Herbst Pavilion at Fort Mason. It was just hitting the end of golden hour. The water was glistening from the sun's reflection. The sun, on its way down was positioned right above a boat sailing by, as a bird flies alongside, all the while against the backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge. I remember saying how beautiful the view was as she snapped away, but never imagined the shot to come out this picture perfect. It just really made me feel warm inside and so right at home. I never thought of Fort Mason as a scenic spot, but it was such a gem to see the sunset here. I highly recommend it.
