WORK WHITES

In the Summer, I love how a white on white look feels fresh and also keeps you cool and comfy during those hot days in the office. Living in SF and working in a start up environment, the dress code is pretty casual, and though you can get away with almost anything, I've always been told you should always dress for the job you want, not the one you have. That's not to say, suits and tailored trousers are the way to go. With the right styling, it's easier than you may think to look sharp in simple basics and create a polished look that's appropriate for work.
A good wear-to-work outfit is always rooted in structure. My easy hack for basics is to simply tuck in your tops and find fitted bottoms. When I throw on a tee, it's usually tucked into fitted jeans. The tuck really refines the whole look and pulls it together, so your pieces look tailored to your body. I also played with proportions here by throwing on a lightweight trench, then to top it off, I added kitten heels for an all around dressy vibe. Now you can worry less about getting dressed, and focus on hitting deadlines and bringing your A-game to all those meetings.
