NOBLE FOLK ICE CREAM AND PIE BAR, HEALDSBURG CA

Living in SF, we're spoiled when it comes to ice cream. With a good lineup of spots already in the bay area (Humphrey's Slocombe, Smitten, Bi-Rite, Mr. and Mrs. Miscellaneous, and Ici Ice Cream), I don't expect much when I venture out to wine country, but this is the only reason you need to take a trip up to Healdsburg. Pictured here from Noble Folk Ice Cream and Pie Bar is the Matcha Oreo pie with a side of cornflakes ice cream. That sounds like a lot of flavor to take in, right? But my god, the fusion of everything together was the perfect marriage. Exactly what you want from matcha, it wasn't too sweet and had that right hint of bitterness from the tea leaf. With an Oreo pie crust and cornflakes a la mode, you get two different kinds of crunch that just makes absolute sense. It was a match made in food heaven. Don't disappoint me next time you're up there.
